As Charlie and Ellen's son, John, I'd like to take this opportunity to share with everyone how much everybody's support on Facebook for Breast Cancer Awareness has meant to us as a family (and as part of our family, we hope that this means as much to you as it does to us). Thank you to everyone who has helped us out and shown support by liking our Facebook page. Most people probably don't realize how close to home Breast Cancer Awareness actually is for us as a family. Because we consider our homebuyers to be a part of our family, we would like to share a little bit about us on a more personal level.
My other grandmother found out that she had breast cancer shortly after my twin sister and I were born. My Mom's mother received treatments and was cancer free for ~20 years. About two years ago, she was diagnosed again with Stage II breast cancer. She received treatments and had a procedure to remove the tumor, surrounding tissue, and several lymph nodes. Today she is "cancer-free," but they are monitoring her very closely so that we are proactive in case any of the cancerous cells survived and metastasized throughout her body.
What happens in an individual's personal life crosses over into his/her business or professional life as well. It's just impossible for a person to isolate significant events between their personal and professional lives. As a result of the significant extent to which breast cancer has affected our entire family, we feel extremely blessed to have had this opportunity to further increase support for Breast Cancer Awareness in our community through New Horizons Homes, Inc.
Thank you so much to everyone who helped us with our efforts to raise awareness and show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness! We have personally been so deeply touched and moved by all of the support we've received on our Facebook page from our community. It's so great to see how many people care.
Thank you for your time and support. God Bless!
~John Sharpe
